Artificial intelligence (AI) software developer Aidoc has signed a deal with UofL Health in Kentucky to implement the company's AI applications.
UofL Health is affiliated with the University of Louisville, which in March introduced the Center for AI in Radiological Sciences (CAIRS) to promote the use of AI in collaboration between data and clinical teams.
UofL Health will incorporate Aidoc's algorithms from the company's AI Care Platform and will use AI to prioritize cases from a radiologist's worklist that may be positive for disease. In particular, UofL will employ Aidoc algorithms to identify and prioritize cases of intracranial hemorrhage, pulmonary embolism, incidental pulmonary embolism, cervical spine fractures, rib fractures, and intra-abdominal free gas.
UofL is the first academic medical center in Kentucky to implement Aidoc's software.
