Breast and lung imaging software developer Volpara Health is highlighting upgrades to its various breast imaging software at the RSNA 2021 meeting in Chicago.

Volpara Analytics software provides automated and objective assessment of image quality on every mammogram and provides technologists with performance feedback. The new version (v3.0) offers improved reporting, analysis, and workflow features, according to the firm.

Also, Volpara is launching its Analytics in Action program to help breast imaging centers create a culture of learning and continuous quality improvement. The program offers onsite, personalized training from Mammography Educators; a toolkit of recognition resources to encourage and recognize a center's staff; and access to rewards from the online gifting platform.

Volpara has also improved its Patient Hub mammography reporting system with report letters to support patient education. The Volpara Density Profile section allows centers to include two mammogram images from a woman's exam, the percentage of her breast density, and a link to a consumer-facing website for more information about breast density. Adding a woman's images will make it easier for her to grasp the concept of breast composition and tissue density, according to Volpara.
