Total attendance grew 5% at the 2014 edition of the RSNA meeting compared with the 2013 show, according to preliminary figures from the Oak Brook, IL, society.
Through Thursday, RSNA reported total attendance of 56,030, compared with preliminary attendance of 53,169 at the 2013 conference. The increase was driven by growth in two of the three major categories of attendees.
In the key category of professional attendees, attendance grew 8% to 28,801 this year, compared with 26,572 in 2013. The number of attendees in the guest/other category was 6,349 this year, up 20% from 5,279 in 2013.
Among exhibitors, attendance this year was 20,880, down 2% from 21,318 the previous year.
