The American College of Radiology (ACR) has created the Radiology Leadership Institute (RLI) to provide a curriculum of educational activities and programming.
The multiyear academy will begin next year and combine face-to-face learning in various geographic locations with team projects, case analysis, and Web-based learning, the ACR said.
The RLI will also feature instructors from universities offering master of business administration and master of public health degrees, a range of advanced leadership courses to build proficiency and certification, and the opportunity to earn continuing medical education credits.
The institute's first event will take place July 12-15, 2012, at Northwestern University's Evanston, IL, campus. The one-time, invitation-only event will feature a variety of topics that will be developed into the institute's comprehensive curriculum.
