The American College of Radiology (ACR) has added one new topic and revised seven others in a newly released update to its ACR Appropriateness Criteria.
The new topic is cerebrovascular disease -- child, and the seven revised topics are as follows:
- Acute trauma to the knee
- Assessment of gravid cervix
- Chronic liver disease
- Hematuria
- Seizures and epilepsy
- Suspected small-bowel obstruction
- Radiologic management of iliofemoral venous thrombosis
With the update, the appropriateness criteria now encompass 190 diagnostic imaging and interventional topics with 938 clinical variants covering more than 1,680 clinical scenarios, according to the ACR.
