The return of the Minnies; DRA Survival Kit finale

Dear AuntMinnie Member,

In this uncertain world it's good to know there are a few things you can count on, like the changing seasons, the ocean's tides, death and taxes. The Minnies are back again too -- tanned, rested, and ready for their 2007 run.

This year's contest features 13 categories spanning the gamut of radiology endeavor, from Most Influential Radiology Researcher to Best New Radiology Vendor, as well as old favorites like Scientific Paper of the Year and Biggest Threat to Radiology.

For the next two weeks, we'll be taking your suggestions on the candidates to include in the Minnies semifinals phase. After that, our expert panel will be selecting winners in the semifinals and finals phases, with handsome trophies awarded to the winners at this year's RSNA meeting in Chicago.

So if you have a colleague who you believe deserves recognition, now's your chance to help them get the recognition of the radiology community. To submit your nominations just click here, or go to minnies.auntminnie.com.

When you're done, check out the final installment in a series we've been featuring in the Imaging Center Digital Community on surviving the Deficit Reduction Act of 2005. In the three-part series, consultant Evan Leepson has been offering strategies for how your facility can survive and even thrive in today's challenging DRA environment.

Today's final installment focuses on how to grow your business after you've implemented all the cost-cutting and efficiency strategies. Check the finale by clicking here.

Also be sure to check out our latest story on physician job satisfaction. Think things are bad in radiology? Well, radiologists still score near the top in overall job satisifaction. Get the details by clicking here, or visit our Imaging Center Digital Community at centers.auntminnie.com.
