IBA begins European I-124 shipments

Radioisotope manufacturer Ion Beam Applications (IBA) has begun delivery of iodine-124 to PET centers in Europe.

Vreije Universiteit in Amsterdam will be the primary production location, according to the Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium-based firm. In addition, IBA said it plans to soon offer zirconium-89 and is working on producing copper-64, as well as F-18-based tracers.
