Through a partnership with International Medical Solutions (IMS), the University of Toronto's medical imaging department is able to continue offering its students comprehensive hands-on training and assessment, IMS said.
IMS Learn allows for remote teaching on a U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved viewer. It doesn't require residents to be present in the hospital and can simulate emergency radiology cases, for instance. The software gives students and residents the opportunity to review imaging studies and engage in interactive, web-based assessments on any device using full-fidelity DICOM images, according to IMS.
