Agfa HealthCare gets new president

Agfa-Gevaert Group said it has appointed a new president for its Agfa HealthCare subsidiary.

Effective April 1, Luc Thijs will become president of the Agfa HealthCare business group, as well as a member of the group's executive committee. He succeeds Christian Reinaudo, who until now had combined his role of CEO of the Agfa-Gevaert Group with his former position of president of Agfa HealthCare, according to the company.

Thijs joined Agfa in 1990. Most recently, he served as head of Agfa HealthCare's global imaging division and its growth markets region, comprising Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States countries, Agfa said.
