Cedara enhances IAP software

Canadian imaging developer Cedara Software has enhanced its Imaging Application Platform (IAP) software to optimize the product's performance on Intel-based workstations.

Working in collaboration with Intel engineers, Cedara has improved performance by a factor of three by eliminating bottlenecks and optimizing the IAP source code for Intel’s Pentium IV chip, Cedara said. The performance gain enables faster processing of larger data sets and increases the number of frames displayed per second, offering users real-time interactivity with medical images, according to the Mississauga, Ontario-based company.
