PicomRIS features tools for exam ordering, scheduling, film tracking, and billing. It also offers management reporting tools to ensure business efficiency. Patient reporting also can be accomplished using the built-in transcriptionist module along with digital dictation, or self-edited Dragon Naturally Speaking-based speech recognition for reporting.
The standards-based system leverages DICOM and HL7 to comply with IHE requirements for interoperability with any number of clinical information systems, according to the company. PicomRIS' single database provides a single point of entry for patient data and workflow management to reduce time spent toggling between applications.
PicomRIS is currently available to U.S. healthcare facilities.
