RSIP Vision has launched an intraoperative registration module for its software that enables quantitative measurements of bones and implants during orthopedic surgery.
The module matches a preoperative CT scan to intraoperative fluoroscopy to provide surgeons real-time information on location and positioning during surgeries such as total hip arthroplasty. The module aims to increase efficiency in the planning and execution phases of hip replacement surgery through automated landmark detection and measurement of anatomical relationships, RSIP Vision said.
The new module is one of a number of orthopedic image analysis tools for preoperative planning and intraoperative navigation developed by the company.
