Ultrasound education firm SonoSim has launched a curriculum to train nurses on artificial intelligence (AI)-guided ultrasound procedures.
Nurse-performed ultrasound scans are becoming more common, thanks in part to recent advances in AI technology. The curriculum is designed to help hospitals and nursing programs incorporate AI-guided ultrasound training into nurse education.
The training curriculum consists of 12 modules and 95 simulation-based training cases that cover relevant clinical topics, such as bladder ultrasound, lung ultrasound, and ultrasound-guided peripheral venous cannulation. Each module includes online peer-reviewed courses, knowledge assessments, and real patient cases.
