TomoTherapy expands, reaches milestone

Radiation therapy firm TomoTherapy is expanding into Central America, with the introduction of TomoTherapy treatments at the International Cancer Center of El Salvador in San Salvador.

The International Cancer Center installed a TomoTherapy Hi-Art treatment system for image-guided, intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IG-IMRT) for its patients.

The company also recently shipped its 350th radiation therapy system with Hong Kong Hospital's order for two TomoHD systems. The facility plans to expand its treatment program to include IG-IMRT in its healthcare services.
