ARRS names 2024 Emerging Research medalists

The American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) has named its 2024 Emerging Research medalists.

The awards recognize research by in-training radiologists that deals with emerging topics impacting professionals and patients, the society said. It announced the following 2024 medalists and the titles of their respective research:

Gold: Kate Hanneman, MD, University of Toronto. "Cardiac MRI Right-to-Left Ventricular Blood Pool T2 Ratio is Associated with Adverse Events and Impaired Cardiopulmonary Exercise Function."

Silver: Angela He, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. "MRI-based Musculoskeletal Infection-Reporting and Data Systems (MSKI-RADS): Multicenter and Multireader Validation."

Bronze: Meghan Jardon, MD, West Virginia University. "Diagnostic Workup of Ulnar Neuropathy at the Elbow (UNE): A Cost-Effectiveness Study."

Bronze: Samir-Anthony Dagher, MD, MD Anderson Cancer Center. "The Impact of Posttreatment MR Perfusion and Spectroscopy on Clinical Decision-Making in Neuro-Oncology: A Prospective Study."
