Philips Healthcare parent company Royal Philips and radiation oncology vendor Elekta have signed agreements to deepen their existing collaborative efforts on personalized cancer care.
The deal will focus on MRI-guided radiation therapy. Both firms expect the collaboration to produce technology that will allow for more accurate tumor visualization, better data for setting treatment strategy and assessing response, and improved therapy delivery, according to the two organizations.
The companies are preferred partners, but the relationship is not exclusive, Philips and Elekta said.
