Nuclear medicine firm UltraSPECT has installed its Xpress.Cardiac half-dose iterative reconstruction imaging software at Toledo Clinic in Toledo, OH.
The software is designed to help the facility's cardiology department reduce the injected radiopharmaceutical dose to patients and lower radiation exposure for both patients and nuclear medicine staff.
The Toledo Clinic installed the software as part of the HeartLight Pharmacy Services' HeartSafe Imaging program, which encourages facilities to decrease SPECT radiation exposure and minimize scan time for patient comfort.
The Toledo Clinic's cardiology department conducts eight to 12 cardiac imaging studies per day and averages around 390 doses per month.
