Lantheus posts stable year-end revenue

The parent company of Lantheus Medical Imaging, Lantheus Holdings, reported financial results for fiscal 2015 that were essentially stable after currency adjustments.

For the full year (end-December 31), Lantheus reported revenue of $293.5 million, down 2.7% from sales of $301.6 million in 2014. After currency adjustments, the company's revenue was essentially flat. Net income for the year was $14.2 million, compared with a net loss of $2.4 million in 2014.

For the fourth quarter, Lantheus reported revenue of $71.2 million, down 7% from sales of $77 million in the same period of 2014. After currency adjustments, the company's fourth-quarter revenue fell 5%. Net income for the fourth quarter was $3.9 million, up sharply from net income of $200,000 in the corresponding quarter of 2014.

Lantheus said its fourth-quarter numbers reflected lower sales for its TechneLite radiopharmaceutical from a major customer, a trend that was offset by gains from its Definity ultrasound contrast agent and xenon-133 inhaled radiopharmaceutical gas for evaluating pulmonary function.
