Canadian radiopharmaceutical firm Jubilant DraxImage (JDI) said it is teaming with PET vendor Positron to increase the sourcing and supply of strontium-82 (Sr-82) and rubidium-82 (Rb-82) generators.
The alliance will support the radiopharmaceutical industry by increasing and stabilizing the supply of radioisotopes and radiopharmaceuticals, JDI and Positron said.
The letter of intent between the firms covers several elements, including Positron's supply of active pharmaceutical ingredient (API)-grade Sr-82 for the JDI Sr-82/Rb-82 generator; JDI and Positron's copromotion of Sr-82/Rb-82 generators to end users upon U.S. Food and Drug Administration clearance; and Positron's lifecycle management for expired JDI Sr-82/Rb-82 generators, the companies said.
