Digital x-ray company Varex Imaging reported lower revenue for the first quarter of fiscal 2022 than it anticipated, but sales were still higher than the same quarter in 2021.
For the period (end-December 31), Varex reported total revenues of $199 million, about 12% higher than the $177 million reported in the same quarter last year. Though the demand for products remained strong in the first quarter of fiscal 2022, supply-chain constraints limited the company's ability to fulfill orders as planned, according to Varex.
The company's net income for the most recent quarter was $1.6 million, compared with a net loss of $6.3 million in the last quarter of 2021.
